Introduction

Emma C. Patterson wrote the column "Your Town and My Town" for the Suburban and Wayne Times nearly every week from 1949 until the mid-1950's. The columns are about Wayne's history from the perspective of the people who lived in its early days, who were still alive to be interviewed when the columns were written. These are phenominal sources of Wayne history, and are meticulously copied here in their entirety.
