Box-Hill was designed by Charles Adams Platt for Anthony J. Drexel Paul, son of James W. Paul of Woodcrest. The younger Paul was named after Anthony J. Drexel, his grandfather, who was also a prominent banker and developed Wayne. At one point Box-Hill was damaged by fire. It remains as a private residence.
