We often look at and research the buildings and locations throughout Wayne, and pay little attention somehow to the events that transpired there. This page features photographs of events that transpired in Wayne over the years. Some go back to Wayne’s beginning, some from this year. This page is basically a place where photos of news items can be shown that don’t really fit anywhere else. Expect more in the future.

Dedication of the Radnor War Memorial. The Original Caption is as follows: “Pennsylvania war heroes are honored...Senator George Wharton Pepper of Pennsylvania, at the dedication of the memorial to the war dead of Radnor, Pennsylvania. Simple ceremonies marked the unveiling of the tablet, the children of three of the dead heroes acting as officials. Senator Pepper, representing the state, made the chief address.”

In 1968 Richard Nixon made a campaign stop in Wayne to promote his presidential bid that year, which he won. Many residents attended the event, and luckily some took pictures. The first seven pictures are exclusive to this site.
