The Radnor Centennial Celebration has come to a close. Tonight beginning at 7 pm at the Willows, the closing ceremony celebration was held. Despite crowded conditions inside the building, it proved to be an interesting experience. As the opening ceremony last year looked back at Radnor's history, with board members dressing in Victorian attire, tonight's theme was "moving forward," and consequently many were dressed in Star Trek uniforms and other futuristic dress. At 9 pm the guests moved onto the lawn of the Willows, where they watched fireworks, launched behind the lake. As guests departed they were each given a steel mug with the Centennial logo printed on two sides, and a spinning model of the Earth at the handle. It was a truly fitting end to a remarkable year.
