In February of this year, Radnor Township announced that work would begin on the 2.2 mile P&W "hike and bike trail" in April. They also said that the scheduled grand opening was set for this fall. Many predicted that the daunting task PennDOT and Radnor put before themselves would never be completed on time.
And, as predicted, work has hardly even begun on the trail. There are scattered piles of small uprooted trees here and there, but they've been there since the summer. According to Radnor Township, PennDOT is sending out bids to contractors this winter, with work scheduled to begin next spring. Exactly one year after the Township originally predicted.
