For the first election in a lifetime, Radnor Township has voted Democratic in a presidential election. According to The Suburban and Wayne Times, "Kerry defeated George W. Bush in Radnor Township 8,077 to 6,969." This is a historic win for the traditionally conservative Township. Kerry made gains throughout the entire Main Line, which could be the beginning of a big change in local voting. Radnor has gone Republican in each election since FDR (and possibly before), including the Johnson landslide of 1964 and both of Bill Clinton's wins. Ironically, John Kerry did not win this year's election.
