High rent is forcing many longtime Wayne businesses from their homes. The main retail block of North Wayne Avenue is a prime example: after the recent departure of the Cheese Alley, the storefronts now housing O'Brien's News, Shady Dog Records and Troubador are all up for lease. So what's best for Wayne: higher class boutique-style shops, or the mainstays that epitomize small town life?
