ALBUM A
ALBUM B

Some of the most important historical photographs of the Wayne area were taken by George H. Schultz, an early resident with a strong interest in amateur photography. He photographed the lives of residents (including his own family and neighbors) as well as local landmarks and development from the 1880's - 1900's.

Two large albums containing literally hundreds of photographs are housed at the Radnor Historical Society. Photographs from both have been reproduced in multiple books and newspaper articles about local history. Nearly every Victorian-era house in North and South Wayne were documented by Schultz, who was probably commissioned to do so by the local developers.

Photographs from both albums are reproduced here. The code name (i.e. A1) refers to the album from which the picture came, and the number assigned to it by the Historical Society cataloguing. The number also represents its order in the album. The caption in BOLD was handwritten (presumably by Schultz himself) in the album. The non-bold text is additional information by the webmaster.

All photos by George H. Schultz, reproduced by Greg Prichard. Click on the images to see larger versions.
