8/26/05: I have been working to fix all the bugs throughout the site, as well as applying a new format to display photos. This new format is the beginning of our new and exciting association with the Radnor Historical Society, which will give this site access to high quality scans of their entire photo collection! The new format separates their photo collection from non-RHS photos. I have also fixed the text on the front page; a Dreamweaver error made the text different sizes for no reason.
6/19/05: Fixed a few home page bugs (more will be fixed shortly), and resurrected the Your Town and My Town column retrospective! Click on the link at the top of this page to read.

12/5/04: In response to a visitor's email:
"I have a special request: please remove the apostrophe from the place name of St. Davids wherever it appears on the website for the Wayne, PA history. It may have existed at some time in the past but it does NOT exist now, and since I've lived here all of my life, I should know. I've seen people make that mistake too many times and would like to see it stopped."
All places where "St. David's" was used now say "St. Davids"!
11/29/04: Most recent visitors to this site have gotten here seeking information about the new Radnor P&W Trail, so I've added a link to that information on the front page. More revisions to come soon.
11/4/04: Added a Forum, where anybody can go to discuss Wayne and other history topics. This is the first time that this site has offered visitors to directly contribute and voice their opinions. 9/30/04: The overall look of the various pages has been changed, with a san-serif, easy to read font and light blue table backgrounds. I have been working a lot lately on the aesthetic appearance of the site, and will soon add much more content.
9/18/04: Complete site redesign. My hope is that the condensed home page will be easier to navigate. The styling is also a little different; the light blue and gray backgrounds (which will soon come up in other places) is intended to break the monotony of the white background. This site version is now 4.0.

This digital "album" shows many homes in the area when they were first built. These hugely important pictures can be viewed here.

4/12/04: Many updates to the appearance of the website, with a greater use of the "yellow-black-gray" scheme, including on the front page. Also, some updated title graphics and layouts on individual pages.
3/17/04: One of the most common search words that brings people to this site is "Minella's." With that in mind, the new Diners section was created. It talks about Minella's, as well as other Wayne diners.
2/28/04: After much typing (about 2000 words) the Your Town articles are now updated. Just received some great P&W photos from Matt Nawn of the Rockhill Trolley Museum which will be up shortly.

1/16/04: "Your Town" columns now up to date. The latest ones added are from 1950 (going along with their publication here on the 54th anniversary of their publication in The Suburban). The columns from 1949 are on a separate page; from now on each year will have its own page, considering the long length of those pages.
1/15/04: Added a few "Your Town" columns. They will catch up very soon.
1/13/04: New front page design, which makes this version 3.0. The older versions will be seen in the upcoming site history section. Plus: new main logo design, and the title of the site is now "Wayne History Online" instead of "The Wayne History Website." More huge new updates on the way! In the meantime, let me know what you think: gprichar@andrew.cmu.edu
11/23/03: 4 new pictures; beginning to update title graphics on some pages.
11/22/03: 26 new pictures added, mostly in the Estates section, but also in Churches, Schools and the Main Intersection.

8/26/03: "Your Town and My Town" updated; sorry about the delay, you can expect weekly updates in that section starting again in October. There was a gap in "Your Town" columns between August and October of 1949 because Mrs. Patterson suffered from a "serious illness." In keeping up with posting articles on the anniversary of their publication, I will continue to post reprints in October. Also: New news item and weekly picture. Once again, the "Picture of the week" will become much more weekly now that the summer's over...
7/14/03: 2 huge new sections: The Wayne Business Block and Wayne's Main Intersection.
4/18/03: 14 new pictures in the Radnor Schools section, including many architectural renderings of the Grammar School.
